Trainee Fencer Position:

Are you reliable, hardworking and enjoy outdoor physical work...

We are currently recruiting for Skilled Landscapers and Fencers with a positive ‘can do ‘attitude, and an ability to work in a professional manner, to join our team.

The day-to-day duties will involve landscaping, fencing and a range of other external works.

We are willing to offer training and have many experienced staff to help newcomers learn a range of new skills. Successful candidates must be reliable, hardworking and enjoy outdoor physical work in all weather and seasons. A full, clean driving licence is preferred but not essential.

The role will involve working at various sites across the Midlands on a variety of public sector and private sector contracts.

What we’re looking for…

If you’re experienced at grounds maintenance and are hard-working and reliable with a positive attitude, you’d be the perfect fit!

You’ll need a full UK driving licence and experience of supervising a landscaping team to apply.

 

What the role will involve…

Working alongside our Contracts Managers and clients to undertake and supervise the work of your ground’s maintenance team of 1 to 2 operatives.

Working on retirement properties or new build sites,

Use of and supervision of others using a wide range of grounds maintenance machinery.

Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the customers’ satisfaction.

Training and development of other team members

 

Essential Skills:

3+ years grounds maintenance experience

Full UK driving license.

Craftsman garden with a good knowledge of plants and pruning times and techniques.   

Great communicator with clients and management

 

Desirable Skills:

CSCS Card, Towing, good knowledge and experience of handheld and ride on grounds maintenance equipment, compact tractor, PA1/PA6.

The ability to up skill during the off season and help in other landscaping and fencing areas of the business.

What the role will involve: 

  • Working alongside our Contracts Managers and clients to undertake and supervise the work of your landscape team, made up of one to two operatives.
  • Ensure you and your team deliver a first-class service every time, with works being completed safely, on time and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Development and training of team members, ensuring they are fully skilled for their role and to enhance their personal progression.
