Experienced Landscaping & Fencing Team Leader
Package: up to £32,000 DOE, Company Van, Pension & 28 days Holiday
PGE Landscaping Ltd, a leading commercial landscaping and fencing company, is seeking dynamic and experienced team leaders to join our team. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing commercial landscaping and fencing projects to the highest standards. If you are a skilled professional with proven leadership abilities and a passion for transforming outdoor spaces while prioritising safety, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of landscaping and fencing professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the installation of various landscaping & fencing specifications to a wide range of clients
- Collaborate with clients and PGE’s Contract Manager to plan and organise project timelines, resources, and materials.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards on all projects.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial landscaping and fencing projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of landscaping and fencing techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Implement and enforce safe working practices and procedures, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate landscaping equipment.
- Relevant certifications and licenses are a plus.

If you’re skilled at grounds maintenance and are hard-working and reliable with a positive attitude, you’d be the perfect fit!
What the role will involve…
Working as part of a 2 to 3 person team to maintain retirement homes, commercial properties and new build show home gardens amongst other projects.
On the job training and development will be provided to you by an experienced Team leader.
Essential Skills:
1+ years grounds maintenance experience
Desirable Skills:
Full UK driving license
CSCS Card, Towing, PA1/PA6, Landscaping and/or Fencing Work
The ability to up skill during the off season and help in other landscaping and fencing areas of the business
The ability to be flexible and work positively with different team leaders and/or operatives as necessary.

What we’re looking for…
If you’re experienced at grounds maintenance and are hard-working and reliable with a positive attitude, you’d be the perfect fit!
You’ll need a full UK driving licence and experience of supervising a landscaping team to apply.
What the role will involve…
Working along side our Contracts Managers and clients to undertake and supervise the work of your ground’s maintenance team of 1 to 2 operatives.
Working on retirement properties or new build sites,
Use of and supervision of others using a wide range of grounds maintenance machinery.
Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the customers’ satisfaction
Training and development of other team members
Essential Skills:
3+ years grounds maintenance experience
Full UK driving license
Craftsman garden with a good knowledge of plants and pruning times and techniques
Great communicator with clients and management
PA1/PA6
The ability to be flexible and work positively with different operatives as and when necessary. The ability to adapt and embrace change as we move into the digital age, with use of mobile apps to log/record site visits etc.
The skillset to man manage operatives, and report upwards any issues with work or performance.
Desirable Skills:
CSCS Card, Towing, good knowledge and experience of hand held and ride on grounds maintenance equipment, compact tractor, .
The ability to up skill during the off season and help in other landscaping and fencing areas of the business

Successful candidates must be hard working, enjoying outdoor physical work in all weather and seasons. A full, clean driving licence is preferred but not essential.
