JANUARY

Winter Maintenance

  • Remove snow and ice from walkways and driveways.
  • Inspect and repair any winter damage to hardscapes.
  • Prune trees and shrubs during dormancy.

Tree and Shrub Care

  • Prepare for nesting season (MARCH-JULY) and arrange any last-minute tree works and clearance outside of nesting season.

FEBRUARY

Tree and Shrub Care

  • Prune deciduous trees and shrubs.
  • Check for winter damage and plan for necessary replacements.

MARCH

Spring Preparation

  • Clean up winter debris (Fallen branches, leaves, etc).
  • Begin Mulching flower beds and tree bases.

Planting and Transplanting

  • Plant early-blooming annuals and perennials.

APRIL

Lawn Care

  • Aerate and dethatch lawns.
  • Apply pre-emergent weed control and fertilise lawns.

MAY

Flower Beds and Gardens

  • Plant summer annuals and perennials.
  • Fertilise flower beds and apply a fresh layer of mulch.

Pest and Disease Control

  • Monitor and treat for pests and diseases on plants and lawns.

JUNE

Regular Maintenance

  • Mow and edge lawns bi-weekly minimum.
  • Deadhead flowers to encourage continuous blooming.

Tree and Shrub Care

  • Prune spring-flowering shrubs after they bloom.
  • Apply mulch to conserve moisture and reduce weeds.

JULY

Irrigation and Watering

  • Water lawns and gardens deeply to promote root growth.

Weed Control

  • Stay on top of weed control to prevent competition for resources.

AUGUST

Lawn Maintenance

  • Continue mowing and edging lawns.
  • Check for signs of drought stress and water as necessary.

  • Apply a fertiliser to lawns to promote root growth.

Leaf Cleanup

  • Regularly rake and remove fallen leaves.

Tree and Shrub Care

  • Initiate tree works and clearance outside of nesting season (MARCH-JULY).

NOVEMBER

Winter Preparation

  • Apply winter mulch to protect plants.

Planting and Transplanting

  • Transplant shrubs and trees as needed during the Planting season (NOV-FEB).

DECEMBER

Seasonal Decoration

  • Install Holiday decorations, such as lights and wreaths.

Winter Maintenance

  • Monitor for early snow and ice, performing removal as needed.

Litter picking and bin emptying

  • Conduct regular litter picking, and empty bins weekly.
